Does my booyah! spending account come with overdraft protection?

No. If there are insufficient funds in the account, the transaction will be declined. While overdraft protection may be handy in limited situations, banks often use this feature to charge large fees to their customers – sometimes $35 or more for each occurrence. We don’t want to capitalize on anyone’s misfortune so if there aren’t enough funds in the account, we simply decline the transaction.

Please be aware there are some exceptions that are beyond our control. For example, a merchant forces a transaction through, if you leave a tip at a restaurant that exceeds your available funds or you pay at the pump at a gas station. Even in these cases, booyah! will not charge you a fee.
